BLS 4 Lessons Learnt

CONSISTENCY goes a long way. The whole goal of participating in the league was to prove myself that being consistent in the things that really matter is something I AM capable of doing. You know the feeling of unfinished book or a movie? It always made me thinking of myself as quitter, but once you aim to introduce a small change in your life and make it consistent it will bring about bigger changes. That is when transformation happens. COMPETITIVENESS is my second nature and its nothing to be ashamed of. Some people tend to look at it differently, that being…

Squash Challenge continued – BLS Krakow

I have been motivated and demotivated like a dozen times even during one day.  Always thought it is external factor that influences my state – like reaction of a colleague at work, planning of a weekend that ends in failure, lack of enthusiasm waking up in the morning. Nothing more wrong – it is an attitude, peace of mind and nutrition that make a difference. As such no one else but you can influence that. The most important are baby steps, in everything one does. Small goals, small changes, in both approach and mindset, small decisions make big impact. Yesterday…

Squash challenge – week 3

Survived till week three! I must admit there has been no moments of doubt or discouragement from three months squash challenge and this is the time when I can in all honesty say I am proud of myself. As a proper amateur I started with the same assumption as probably many others before me – considered running or jogging for good cardio. Usually for daily…

Squash challenge – week 2

It has been a week now since I re-started with squash. An amazing week I must say! The more I look into what has happened within last 7 days, the more I realise how much happier and aware of own body one can become in such a short time. Being fit now seems to be a must and to do so there are so many aspects to watch for. Proper and regular diet, drinking a lot of water, getting a good sleep, watching for correct posture and balance – you may say that those are so simple and so obvious and…

Squash challenge – week 1

They say a journey of a thousand miles begin with a single step. Well this is not actually a travel journey, but more a journey to establish one’s limits with a hope to see that there are none. My journey with squash started some three years ago when I played with my ex-boss for the first time, got inspired and saw that I can actually be quite good at something. Given that consistency is not a virtue I can actually pride myself on, there has been on and offs. Now being on again, the plan is to actually re-start from…
